Sotto Voce: Founder and Co-Ordinator

Jackie Harmer

Sotto Voce was brought together by soprano, Jackie Harmer, who is also the group’s administrator. Jackie was inspired to form a choir after a successful performance at a wedding in 2000.

Jackie has been singing for most of her life. She currently sings in the renowned Hallé Choir and in the past has performed a variety of principal roles in light opera.

Accompanist

Christopher Cotton is our principal accompanist, a highly talented pianist, organist, composer and arranger. After graduating from the Royal Northern College of Music his career has taken him to all parts of the UK as a soloist as well as an accompanist. His broadcasts have included solos for the BBC. He has had a number of arrangements published and in 2005 Sotto Voce recorded his “Requiem”.
